Karalaite kennels provides boarding facilities primarily for dogs and cats, but we offer boarding of other pets too! We have boarded birds, mice, guinea pigs, rabbits and many other pets. Since these are generally kept in our home, these are by special arrangement and priced accordingly. Please tell us about your pet and we will let you know if we can accommodate.
Cats and dogs are boarded in separate facilities, so if your family dog and cat sleep together, we're sorry but they cannot be boarded together.
Due to the severe weather is this part of the country in the winter, the kennel runs are completely indoors in the winter and either indoors or outdoors in the summer. Indoor runs are covered with pine or cedar shaving so the indoor pets never get wet. Outdoor runs are all equipped with houses and most have sunscreens in the summer. The facility is surrounded with trees for shade in the summer.
Owners are encouraged to bring something from home to make their pet feel more comfortable. Please don’t bring a priceless blanket for your pet. No matter how much attention your pet gets from our staff there may be a time boredom sets in, and tearing up anything in site becomes a great game.
We normally accept all types of pets, however, since our staff will be in close contact with your pet, we cannot accept any animal that has attacked a person or who is aggressive to strangers.
